However, every customer is different and each hut we build is unique in some way. Although we have never built two exactly the same, the process of buying a shepherds hut from us does however follow the same path. So to find out how it all works from beginning to end, read on!
Buying a Shepherds Hut – How it all works!
Commissioning your hut….
We start with a really in-depth chat about your shepherds hut project, including the purpose of the hut, where it is going to be positioned, what infrastructure you have or are planning, what kind of facilities your shepherds hut needs, and any specific design choices you have in mind. We can do this initially over the phone or by Zoom. In fact we have written a guide about this part of the process – click here to read more.
We would then encourage you to come over and see us, take a look at our demo hut and visit the workshop. This gives us the opportunity to really get to know each other, and for us all to talk about different ideas and designs for your project. At this stage we can normally give you an estimate of how much it is going to cost, and how long it is going to take, so you get a sense of the ballpark!
When you have realised we are the perfect fit 😉 and you’re ready to buy your dream shepherds hut, we will provide digital floorplans, visualisations, a detailed specification list, and a full written estimate. We may also need to come out and visit you to double check that your site is suitable and accessible.
During the build….
Once the price and specification is confirmed by you in writing, and upon receipt of your initial payment, we will start your shepherds hut build. If we or you have any new ideas or elements to incorporate once we are in the process of the build, just let us know and if it’s not too late, we can revise the spec and price.
We will stay in touch throughout the process, and we encourage you where possible to come over to take a look at the work on your shepherds hut as we go along. We just want to make sure you are super happy with everything!
At the point that we’re ready to rumble, we will need you to do a final check over your shepherds hut to sign it off, pay the final invoice, and then you can either collect it or we can organise a haulier to complete the delivery.
Enjoying your new space ….
As part of our customer service, we will check in with you a few days after you have been enjoying your new shepherds hut to make sure everything is as it should be.
